Deliveroo blames 'The Fear' as Sunday overtakes Saturday for most popular ordering day

As the weekend draws nearer, we all start to think about a little treat, but is it better to pull the trigger on a Friday evening or wait until the dying moments of Sunday?

Well, Deliveroo seems to have come up with an answer.

Sunday has overtaken Saturday as the most popular day of the week to make an order on the Deliveroo app.

The delivery company says there are now 15 per cent more orders on a Sunday compared to the day before, which is being put down to an increase in the "Sunday Scaries" or "The Fear".

The three most popular orders are burritos, cheeseburgers and margherita pizzas - pretty vanilla choices but undisputed crowd-pleasers all the same!
