One Irish tradition is becoming very popular in other countries

As the new year begins, wedding planning will kick off for the many who got engaged during the Christmas period.
December is the most popular month for engagements, according to marketplace WeddingWire.
CSO figures show while Catholic ceremonies still account for forty per cent of Irish wedding services, there has been a significant rise in civil and humanist ceremonies.
Wedding Planner and host of "Say Yes To The Dress" Peter Kelly says people are breaking away from tradition.
But one tradition is being adopted in other countries.
The Irish tradition of a one to two day event is becoming popular in other countries.
Marketing site WeddingWire report the average American weddings typically last five to six hours.
Peter says some US couples have had to adapt the trend to help guests last the whole day:
"The Irish wedding is now becoming famous globally, we're known for marathon weddings.
"A day, if not two days, if not three days and that's becoming a trend globally.
"A lot of American weddings are not having their services at 12 o'clock, then their guests go away for a swim or go for a walk and then come back at 8 o'clock for dinner.
"Because they think going all day would be mental! But not for the Irish."
