It's a very unusual time of year and a lot of us don't know what to do with ourselves.

We have put together a little list of some things you can do to pass this time.

 1. Painting

Painting is a great hobby to get into, especially at this time of year.

It can be very therapeutic and help take your mind off things.

First step, go to your nearest discount store and pick up some paint, brushes and a canvas.

Next, go to Pinterest for inspiration, find a picture you like and try and recreate it or you can always freestyle!

Queue your favourite playlist on Spotify and start painting.

You will feel relaxed and hopefully have a beautiful piece of art to hang up afterwards.

2. Meditation/exercise

It's normal to feel lazy during this time.

However, if you want to feel somewhat productive you could always do some meditation.

Go to Youtube and look up Meditation for beginners and meditate in the comfort of your own home.

If you have cabin fever and need to get out of the house, go for a short walk.

It's great to clear the head and also get some steps in.

Maybe even listen to a podcast or some of your favourite tunes while walking.

3. Binge watch a TV show

We all love watching our favourite movies or bingeing a TV show.

It's okay to take this time to wind back and relax and if you've got small kids it may be the only chance you have!

Secure your favourite snacks and switch on the TV.

It's a perfect time to binge a show not feel guilty about it.

4. Meet up with your pals

With all of the busy schedules, it can be very difficult to meet up with friends.

This is the perfect time to arrange a night with your besties.

You don't have to go out and splash the cash, you can have a girls night in.

Here are some fun ideas, a games night, movie night, bring a food board or just a few drinks and a gossip.

Catch up and enjoy your night!

5. Deep clean

Feeling overwhelmed with clutter at this time of year?

Do a deep clean or clear out your wardrobe.

Get rid of any unwanted clothes or items, one person's junk is another person's treasure!

Make some categories and bring the useful items to your local charity shop.

You will feel productive and de-cluttered.
