Australian conservation officials want to pay one lucky person to live on a tropical island surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef.

Queensland's Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authorities announced that they are seeking to fill the role of caretaker for the "isolated tropical island".

According to UPI.com, the isolated island is Low Isle. Located 9 miles off the coast of Port Douglas.

Assistant Director of the Reef Conservation Action, Mark Reef said :

"The caretakers live in paradise on a tropical island surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef -- but maintaining an island is hard work,"

The successful candidate will have to fulfill duties while living on the island, including

"maintaining buildings and infrastructure including the solar power system and sewerage treatment system, liaising with tourist operators, cleaning toilets, managing weeds, grounds works and counting bird populations."
