Ah, weddings.

They're happy occasions, usually!

But they don't come without their fair share of stresses.

We all know how the bride and groom can find planning a wedding, and the day itself quite stressful, but how about guests?

Well, a recent survey has found that people who've been invited to a wedding this year actually are feeling the pinch.

The OnePoll study found 63% of those who’ve been invited to a wedding this year feel financially stressed.

There is a lot to think about - what to wear, what to get the couple or how much to gift them...

For destination weddings then, there's the cost of travel and accommodation.

While no matter where the wedding is, parents need to organise and pay a babysitter.

But isn't it all worth it to see a happy couple get married?

It might be, but it probably feels like a lot if you've gotten a few invites this year.

The poll found that the average person is expecting to be invited to four weddings while nearly a third (28%) are planning a wedding of their own.

According to studyfinds.org, nearly two in five will attend a destination wedding.

While 35% will attend a “sequel wedding” - which we've just learned is a second celebration planned by a couple following their first pandemic wedding.
