Companies are being encouraged to limit their number of video calls in a bid to reduce fatigue during the pandemic.

Some businesses are starting to introduce 'Zoom-free Fridays'.

Since the start of the pandemic the way people communicate has changed with more than 70 percent of internet users in Ireland making video calls last year.

Whether it's for business or socialising the rise of video calling has entered many workplaces even including court sessions.

While Parish Council meetings have also hit the headlines with the now infamous 'you have no authority here Jackie Weaver' causing quite a stir all over the world.

There was also that that time a London Councillor accidentally set himself on fire during a video call.

However, global banking firm Citigroup has announced it's going to introduce zoom free Fridays as a way to reduce some of the pressure on employees.

It's suggested taking part in a zoom meeting adds extra effort and stress on employees over a normal audio call.
