The TD has not yet been named.

Independent.ie reports about a number of Covid compliance concerns in Leinster House and the Convention Centre.

One of those include reports that a TD said, he would “sooner go to jail” than wear a mask in Leinster House.

The paper also reports that concerns were raised about a lack of social distancing among ministerial drivers.

They would then drive cars on lengthy journeys with cabinet members.

The details were found in documents released by the Oireachtas.

Those documents contained reports of breaches of public health guidelines.

They also had reports of aggression and bullying towards compliance staff in Leinster House and the Convention Centre.

A number of complaints were raised in emails including one in which an Oireachtas member got aggressive towards a compliance team member who asked them to put on a mask when speaking to them.

Another complaint involved some TDs who continued to wear visors instead of masks, despite needing a medical cert to do so.

Indepentent.ie has not been given access to the names of any of the people in question.

The Oireachtas has declined to provide the names of the TDs and Senators against whom complaints have been made following a request made under FOI.
