Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have any dashcam footage
A man in his 50s is fighting for his life in hospital following an assault at his home in Clane, County Kildare.
The incident happened yesterday morning at 20 past 11 (Saturday, 2nd July).
Gardaí are appealing for any road users who may have camera footage of the Abbeylands area to come forward.
The man was seriously assaulted by two men at a residence in The Avenue areas of Abbeylands in Clane.
The attackers later fled the scene on foot.
The injured man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital where he is currently in a critical condition.
The scene was preserved for technical examination and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
