An app is "revolutionising revision" for thousands of Leaving and Junior Cert students.

In the lead up to summer exams, thousands of students are putting the heads down to study.

And now, they have an app to help.

MyStudyPal eliminates the need for time-consuming and often inaccurate study schedules.

It provides students with a personalised study timetable based on your upcoming tests and exams.

It's even been named as one the top tech start-ups to watch in 2019.

MyStudyPal founder, Mark Nealon, explains how it works:

"Say for instance, students are going to be working all next week and then they want to go out Friday night. They can tell MyStudyPal I don't want to start study till 11 o'clock on Saturday morning because I want a bit of a lie in.

So allowing students have that healthy work/life balance to allow all those extra-curriculars while also getting all the work done too."

He also explains how the app alleviates time pressures on students:

"What we're trying to do is make that process much shorter and much more efficient.

So the second a student decides I'm ready to start studying for my Leaving Cert...instead of them taking the day out to make a study timetable and then saying I've done my study, I'll start tomorrow and then they don't start till a few days later.

You want to make your study timetable? Great, make it - five-10 minutes later, you're going to be ready."
