All schools in Northern Ireland are to be closed in an attempt to stop the spread of Covid-19, reports Sky News.
Schools in the north are closed to pupils as of 5pm this evening, while they will be closed to staff from Friday.
Meanwhile schools in England will close to almost all children on Friday.
The moves follow a decision by Scotland and Wales earlier today to close all of schools by Friday.

Over 2,600 people have tested positive for the deadly virus in the UK, of which over 100 have died following 32 deaths today alone.
In the republic, all schools and colleges will remain closed until at least March 29th.
