We hope you didn't get used to the blue skies!

While the upcoming weather doesn't look overly bad... it certainly isn't going to reach the heights seen in Ireland over the past few weeks.

The more familiar low hanging grey skies have once again taken hold of the majority of our Country. And apart from a few moments of patchy sunshine, it looks like things will remain this way for at least the next few days.

Met Eireann's latest forecast suggests temperatures won't ever drop far below 20-degrees in the coming days, however that big ball of gas responsible for life will be seldom seen.

Here's what's in store

Wednesday is set to be mostly cloudy, but there will be some sunny spells developing during the afternoon and into the evening, with temps around 18 to 22 degrees. Thursday will see more of the same, spells of summer sunshine, along with thickening cloud will bring rain to west and northwest, with highs of 17 to 23.

While Friday will bring some scattered falls of rain and drizzle, and highs of 17 to 21 or 22.

Looking at the weekend, and it'll be warm and humid with temperatures climbing to the low or mid-20s by Sunday.

Not a horrible forecast... but we still hold hope there's a little more of that sunshine coming our way!
