Ah, life hacks; we really love 'em don't we?
With indoor dining still hanging in the balance this summer, this one could come in handy for those home beers.
Now, chances are we've all gotten into a good rhythm when it comes to storing our home beverages. But, for that one time you forget to re-stock the fridge with your selected drink, we've got just the thing.
Let's set the scene: you reach for a beer in the fridge... but there's none there!
Usually you've two options here...
You grab one from your stash, put it in the fridge and wait.. and wait..
Or you grab a glass and water down your drink with some ice; not ideal either.
However, there is a third option.
See that kitchen towel you have there in the corner?
Get a couple of sheets and wet them a bit.
Then wrap it around your bottle or can.
Now, pop it in the freezer.
It's tried and tested to take a mere 15 minutes to chill just the way you like it!
The science behind this hack is actually pretty simple. As the water on the paper towel evaporates, it draws heat away from the beer, cooling it faster.
Give it a try sure next time you find yourself with warm beer.
