Those temperatures just keep rising!

After an absolutely scorcher of a day yesterday, we were delighted waking up once again to blue skies.

The highest temperature so far this year was recorded yesterday in Roscommon of 27.1 degrees.

But, some places may even top that today!

Met Éireann have set us up for temperatures ranging between 24 and a whopping 28 degrees!!

Factor 50 all the way!

Here's the lowdown for the weekend so you can get planning your outdoor activities:

Today:

Today will be a mostly sunny and very warm day.

Some cloud will linger near northwestern coasts with a slight chance of an isolated shower in the south this evening.

Highest temperatures of 24 to 28 degrees.

Tomorrow (Sunday):

Dry with good sunny spells for most.

But there'll be a little more cloud about than Saturday bringing the chance of an isolated thundery shower during the evening over the southern half of the country.

Highest temperatures of 23 to 27 degrees.

And it's looking good for next week too!

High pressure is to bring predominantly dry, very warm and mostly sunny weather for much of next week.

Monday:

Dry in most areas, with cloud to burn off in the morning leaving good sunshine.

A few very localised showers may break out in the heat of the day over the south of the country.

Highest temperatures of 22 to 27 degrees.

Tuesday:

Another mostly dry and sunny day with light southeasterly or variable breezes.

Some cloud will bubble up in the afternoon and a localised thundery shower or two may break out during the evening.

Highest temperatures of 23 to 27 degrees.

Wednesday:

While it'll be very warm and sunny, the sunshine may become hazy at times and there's a slight chance of an isolated thundery shower breaking out by evening.

Highest temperatures of 24 to 28 degrees.

Thursday:

There will be more cloud about on Thursday but it'll be mostly high cloud making sunshine hazier than previous days.

Highest temperatures of 22 to 26 degrees.
