They'll then sell the pieces at an affordable price.

What a win-win!

It's part of the furniture maker's commitment to becoming fully "circular" and climate positive by 2030.

The service will allow customers to sell back their IKEA furniture in exchange for a voucher.

And the voucher has no expiry date and can be used in store or online.

IKEA will then sell those pre-loved items within their Circular Hubs (previously Bargain Corner) for a cheaper price.

They're giving your furniture a second go, and you're essentially getting paid for it!

It's ideal as there's sure to be lots of new bargains for people to get with those returned items!

This is how it's done:

Follow the step-by-step process using the buy back estimator tool.

You'll then receive an estimate of the buy back value of your IKEA furniture.

IKEA said that used products returned as good as new with no scratches will be bought for 50% of the original price, while items with minor scratches will be bought for 40%.

Furniture that is well used with several scratches will be bought for 30%, it added.

IKEA also say if they do not accept your used IKEA product, they'll offer to recycle the item for you or to dispose it according to a zero waste to landfill policy.

You can check out all the terms and conditions here.

Peter Jelkeby, Country Retail Manager and Chief Sustainability Officer, said small actions can go a long way towards positive climate action.

He said, "Ikea is so committed to making sustainable living more affordable, attractive and accessible."
