A missing lemur that fled after a fire at in Co. Wicklow has been found safe.

He got lost after a blaze broke out at the Copsewood Avaries on Saturday.

He had been set free along with one other lemur, to save them from the danger of the fire.

The animal was located on Saturday and reunited with the team at Copsewood Aviaries.

They posted yesterday:

"Thank you SO much to everyone who helped this morning and called to help. It’s a sad day here with the extent of the damage done at Copsewood within outhouses that go back long before Eddie to when the Baker sisters were farming the land but glad to have these 2 back and thankfully very few other animal injuries and no one else harmed."
