Freezing temperatures and snow, it's winter alright.
Snow could hit Ireland this weekend as "some wintry falls" are possible, according to Met Éireann.
The cold weather looks set to continue with the national forecaster predicting sub-zero temperatures are likely.
Tonight (Wednesday) won't exactly be warm either with chilly with lows of 1C, and sleet showers may be followed by patches of rain.
Mainly dry and bright at first in the east but showers in the west will become widespread during the morning. The showers will be most frequent in Atlantic counties, some of hail and thunder and sleet on higher ground. Highs of only 4 to 7°C, in fresh and gusty westerly winds. pic.twitter.com/GaKvJqiLqT
