Ireland will be warmer than Madrid tomorrow.

Met Eireann has confirmed we can expect temperatures to hit a glorious 17 degrees tomorrow.

They say there'll be some mist and fog on Thursday morning but that will clear. It'll be rather cloudy with some patchy drizzle across the west and northwest.

Elsewhere in the country, they're predicting dry weather with some sunshine.

It's also going to be fierce mild with top temperatures ranging between 13 and 17 degrees.

That's one full degree higher than temperatures expected in Madrid, the capital of Spain. Get in!

The weekend isn't shaping up too bad either:

Friday:

Rain in the morning will move eastwards across the country. That'll be followed by some cooler weather in the afternoon with a mix of sunshine and a few showers. Highest temperatures will range between 10 and 12 degrees. Friday night will be a cold and mainly dry one. There'll be clear spells and some frost in places and lowest temperatures of 0 to 2 degrees.

Saturday:

Saturday is set to be dry in most areas with sunny spells. However, there'll be a few showers in parts of Connacht and Ulster and highest temperatures of 10 degrees. Saturday night will be another cold one with clear spells and frost and lows of -2 degrees.

Sunday:

Another mainly dry day on Sunday with good sunny spells, especially over the southern half of the country. It'll be cloudier with some showery rain in northern parts of Ulster and Connacht with highest temperatures of 10 degrees.
