French police have shot and killed an 18 year old man suspected of stabbing a history teacher to death in a suburb of Paris.
It’s reported the victim was beheaded by the suspect, after showing pupils in his class illustrations of the Prophet Mohammed, considered by Muslims to be blasphemous, as part of a lesson about freedom of expression.
French President Emmanuel Macron has described it as a “cowardly attack”, he has pledged that France will protect and defend it’s teachers.
An anti-terror investigation has begun.
Sky News reports nine suspects have been arrested, including the parents, grandparents and 17 year old brother of the attacker.
