Ireland’s Under 20’s rugby team continue their Six Nations campaign this evening 24 February. In a home game, sponsored by Electric Ireland they take on France in Donnybrook Stadium.
Here’s why you should get behind the men in green in Dublin this Friday.
1) You’re watching stars in the making.
We all have to start somewhere and for our biggest rugby stars, it was on the under 20’s team. When you’re watching today’s under 20’s scoring winning tries in a few years’ time you’ll be able to say you were there when it all began.
2) Tickets are easier to find.
Tickets for the senior squad’s games can be very hard to come by. That’s not always the case with the Under 20’s matches. You can still get your hands on tickets for this Friday’s game, and they’re a lot cheaper too.
3) Ireland’s Under 20’s are on a winning streak.
We don’t advocate being a fair weather fan but it’s nice to be on the winning side too. Ireland’s Under 20’s have won 2 out of 2 matches so far this tournament. Let’s see if they can make it 3 from 3 against France tonight.
4) You’re actively supporting the sport
You can never underestimate the importance of rugby on its players and the communities in which it’s played. Watching our Under 20’s in action is one of the biggest ways you can show your support for the development of underage rugby in Ireland.
5) It’s a chance to see more world-class rugby
If you’re truly into your rugby then you can never get enough of it. Our under 20’s home games are a handy and cheap option to watch some top-quality rugby outside our senior squad’s games.
This evening, February 24, Electric Ireland is proud to sponsor the match as Ireland’s Under 20’s continue their Six Nations campaign against France in Donnybrook stadium at 8pm.
