The death of Mike Thalassitis on Friday has raised questions about the amount of support reality stars are given when they leave TV shows.

Mike, who found fame on Love Island, died at the age of 26.

The former semi-professional footballer was a contestant in the 2017 series of the dating show and went on to star in Celebs Go Dating.

Sadly, Mike isn’t the first Love Island star to die by suicide.

Louise spoke to Lauren O’Neill, staff writer at Vice UK, about the mental health supports available to reality show contestants.
