E-Scooter sharing platform SMART Scooters has announced the creation of 20 new jobs.
Ireland's only fully owned e-scooter sharing platform has announced a six-figure investment and an expansion of their eight-strong workforce based in Dublin.
The jobs will be in tech, operations and customer care.
And they will be available in the coming months.
The company says trials are ongoing in Cork, Limerick, Dublin, Galway and Kilkenny.
It's hoping more jobs can be created as soon as the Government's E-Scooter legislation is passed and licenses are awarded.
Speaking about the investment and future expansion plans, CEO Lee Roche said customer care will be important.
He also said their local knowledge gives them an advantage over potential competitors.
"We believe being Irish gives us a unique perspective," he said.
Because the company is based locally, they have a detailed understanding of the cities and towns they hope to operate in.
