Friends stars pay tribute to actor James Michael Tyler who has died aged 59

The actor was best known for playing Gunther in the hit comedy.

The Friends actor passed away peacefully Sunday morning at his home in L.A, according to reports.

The actor was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018, but kept it private for three years.

Fellow castmates from Friends have been paying tribute to the actor online.

Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel in the comedy, posted that the show "would not have been the same without" him.

David Schwimmer, who played Ross, said, "thank you for playing such a wonderful, unforgettable role in Friends and for being such a big hearted gentleman and all around mensch off screen."
