LANDMARK DAY: North and South Korea agree to end all hostility

This is a very monumental announcement

In a landmark announcement, South Korea and North Korea have agreed to end all hostile actions against each other, TASS reports.

Potentially ending the state of bitter tension between North and South - in place since the end of the Korean War in 1953.

In the declaration signed by South Korean leader Moon Jae-in and North Korea's Kim Jong-un, the two nations confirmed their intention to seek the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

The two sides will continue active dialogue at a high level.

They have also agreed to solve humanitarian issues, including the issue of unification of Korean families. Work on unification of railways of the two countries is also set to commence.

A landmark day.
