So, what is his magic-8-ball saying about Summer 2018?!
All signs point to positive.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's Red FM earlier this week, Michael said "That's all going to change. The signs are good."
"I was 48 years a postman in Donegal in the hills, and I listened to these people talking. They always said if you get a very cold winter, and they didn't say it often, and an east wind, it's a sign that our summer is going to be very good.
"We're going to get the sunshine from the west and we're in for a very good summer. We're not even out of the spring yet. The signs are looking up that we will have a good summer and I mean that from the heart out.
"The only blip we might have is a wee bit of thunder. But, the farmers are going to be happy at long last," Gallagher said.
Hey, if a bit of thunder is all we have to put with in return for a great summer, thunder away!
According to Gallagher, the good weather around the start of May.
"It will be May anyway. It's difficult to tell. But the beginning of May you'll begin to see a big change in the weather."
